Merge accounts

You can merge two accounts into one. One account is called the origin account. The second account is the destination account.

The merging of accounts usually happens when the same person is entered more than once into the Directory and, consequently, are assigned different flying accounts which are both subsequently used. This is a common occurrence when a member leaves the club and rejoins years later without telling anyone he/she had already been a member of that club and when no positive identification of the person is entered in the system.     

The merge process transfers all movements that exist on the origin account to the destination account. These movements represent financial transactions and flight log records.  

The flying accounts involved in the merge process always belong to the same person or entity, therefore there is no need to transfer personal details or any information contained in the directory records involved.

It is responsibility of the user to make sure that the directory record associated to the destination account is up to date.

At the end of the process, the origin account will be left without any financial transactions or flight log records. A full recalculation of the destination flying account is carried out. The resulting destination flying account balance will be the algebraic combination of the two separate accounts prior to the merge.
